From cocaine and marijuana, to Xanax and Absinth, these narcotics-inspired self-portraits capture the many faces of Mr Saunders as he experiments with a cocktail of illegal substances.

As with many of the images he is out of human proportion, an outstretched hand almost twice the size of his face.

‘DMT’ is a bizarre contrast of utterly unfathomable etchings on top, a spirally mess of thin lines, and a scientific labeled diagram detailing ‘head’ ‘open space’ and ‘connecting sensation’.
